We can perform a wide range of services for your pond including:

Auto-fill Installation/Repair

One of the biggest battles that pond owners in Northern Nevada is how much the dry humidity affects the water levels of their ponds. If not monitored the water levels can drop low enough, causing the pumps to run dry and burn up. Water auto-fill valves can be a simple solution, but they also need to be checked to make sure that they do not malfunction causing flooding and high-water bills. We can replace a faulty autofill or install a new one if there has never been one in the pond before.

Pump Replacement

The water pumps are the heart of the pond and overtime they wear out causing them to be less efficient. When not operating correctly it can lead to poor water circulation and under filtration. We perform a complete pump check before replacing a bad pump. We can also reconfigure any plumbing needed to fit the new pump if the old pump is no longer available.

Leak Detection

Leaks in ponds can be from tears in the pond liner, filter media that has shifted in the filter, or from rocks moving in streams causing water to get diverted out of the pond. We perform a diagnostic check on the pond to isolate where water is being lost. Then take the appropriate action to prevent water loss in the future.

New Filter Installation

Goldfish and Koi need to have plenty of filtration, in addition to aeration from waterfalls or air pumps. The most common type of pond filters are bio-filters that either include pads, plastic balls, or plastic beads that grow beneficial bacteria that helps reduce waste levels in the pond. Another very popular filter that helps promote optimum fish health are UV sterilizers. These are added in addition to bio-filters, and they help eliminate any parasites or diseases that are floating around in the water. The filter shown below is a bio-filter that has a backflush function, that allows the pads and bio-balls in the filter to be washed without taking apart the filter.
